Small Business Contracting

Under the Small Business Act, small businesses must be provided with "a fair proportion of the total purchases and contracts for property and services for the Government." At Eckland & Blando LLP, our government contract attorneys counsel small business clients on the unique opportunities and challenges that accompany bidding for, obtaining, and fulfilling government contracts.

Along with opportunities for stimulus contracts under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, there are a variety of special government contract programs open to small businesses. We advise clients on obtaining contracts under these programs, including: VETS (for service-disabled veteran-owned businesses), and COMMITS NexGen (for IT providers). Our attorneys also assist clients with subcontracting plans, and the defense and challenge of size status protests.
