Nate is a hard-working and dedicated attorney with a passion for litigation. Nate’s legal areas of interest are vast, and he enjoys applying black-letter law to facts and issues that may be a little gray. He believes that the law is a “helping profession” and enjoys helping craft creative solutions for tough issues. As a former college athlete, Nate thrives in collaborative team environments.
Nate graduated from the University of St. Thomas School of Law with cum laude honors. While at St. Thomas Law, Nate earned the Dean’s Award in his Human Exploitation class and was named to the Dean’s List for six semesters. He also competed on St. Thomas Law’s mock trial team in the Texas Young Lawyers’ Association competition for two years and served as the oral advocacy program director as a third-year student. Nate was also an editor for the Journal of Law and Public Policy.
Prior to law school, Nate played baseball at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska as a relief pitcher before transferring to the University of St. Thomas and joining the football team as a wide receiver. Outside of work, Nate still enjoys anything sports related. He can often be found hanging out with his wife and young golden retriever, Franklin, either taking in a long walk or enjoying a movie.
