SADBOC Procurement Fair

Firm Partner, Mark Blando, to present Government Contract Law 101.

In this session, learn about the key legal concepts governing the formation and administration of contracts with the Federal Government. The discussion will cover principles that make contracting with government agencies different than private contracts: sovereign immunity, agency authority, the Christian Doctrine, and the statute of limitations. We will also review the Competition in Contracting Act (CICA); the Federal Acquistion Streamlining Act (FASA); the Contract Disputes Act (CDA); and the Federal Acquitstion Regulation (FAR) and its supplements. Finally, we will give an overview of the basics of litigating against the Federal Government, including the unique jurisdiction of the US Court of Federal Claims.
