Kenya L. Holderbecker

Kenya has a passion for litigation and thrives in fast-paced environments where strategy and creative problem-solving come together. She enjoys working with clients to craft practical solutions to complex problems and challenges, particularly in the areas of employment law, business litigation, mass torts, religious freedoms, and constitutional questions.

Kenya graduated cum laude from the University of St. Thomas School of Law, earning special recognition for completing more than 800 hours of volunteer work. She served as a senior editor of the Journal of Law and Public Policy and successfully completed a legal clinic where she gained hands-on experience representing clients in religious freedom cases and land-use disputes. She also gained extensive appellate experience as a two-year member of the Religious Liberties Moot Court Team, competing twice in the Notre Dame Moot Court Competition.

Prior to joining the firm, Kenya clerked for the Honorable Matthew E. Johnson of the Minnesota Court of Appeals, where she gained an in-depth understanding of persuasive legal writing and invaluable insight into how judges make decisions. In 2026, she will complete a second clerkship for the Honorable David T. Schultz of the Federal District Court for the District of Minnesota.
