We are excited to announce that Vince Reuter will be presenting “Best Practices for Addressing Abandoned or Derelict Vessels” at the 2025 Wisconsin Marine Association Fall Conference on November 18, 2025 in Wausau, WI.
At this year’s conference, Vince will address one of the most pressing issues impacting marinas across Wisconsin: how to finally (and legally) get rid of those abandoned vessels that only take up valuable marina space. He will discuss how to navigate the complex balance between state and federal law related to vessel ownership, including the procedures necessary to clear title before resale or necessary disposal. Vince’s presentation will also outline proactive measures that can be incorporated into marina contracts and, in the end, discuss best practices and the most economical way to resolve these issues before and after they arise. Vince looks forward to sharing practical guidance to help marina owners and operators protect their businesses and maintain safe and efficient facilities.
