Mitch is a new attorney at Eckland and Blando with a passion for litigation, administrative law, constitutional law, and appellate work. He is at his best digging into complex uncharted legal questions and he brings a careful, research-driven approach to every matter. Mitch’s path to law included years in fast-paced, customer-facing roles, and he brings that same responsiveness and attention to his practice. He joined the firm as an associate after working as a summer law clerk during law school.
Mitch earned his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School, graduating cum laude in 2026. He served as a Managing Editor on the Minnesota Law Review and his piece The Skidmore Compromise: Interpreting Skidmore as a Tiebreaker to Preserve Judicial Wisdom in the Era of Loper Bright was published in Volume 110, Issue 3 of the journal.
His law school experience extended well beyond the classroom. While in law school, Mitch was a judicial extern for Judge Jamie Anderson in Minnesota’s Fourth Judicial District, served as an intern at the Consumer Product Safety Commission, and worked as a research assistant for one of the premier administrative law scholars in the country. Outside of work, Mitch enjoys weightlifting, pickleball, movies, and reading novels of all types.
